IVANHOE — A Lake Benton man and two others were injured in a two-vehicle collision involving a semi near Ivanhoe, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 2:32 Monday afternoon, a 2024 Freightliner semi was traveling eastbound on Highway 19. A 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup was traveling northbound on Highway 75 when the vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the Dodge, 58-year-old Glen Dagel of Lake Benton, sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.
The driver of the Freightliner, 38-year-old Idris Hasan of Philadelphia, PA, and his passenger, 35-year-old Paulette Hasan of Philadelphia, PA, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to the Hendricks hospital. There were two more passengers in the freightliner, small children ages one and two, were not injured.
Assistance was provided the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Ivanhoe Fire Department, Ivanhoe Ambulance, and Hendricks Ambulance.
