Kay Mason, age 75, of Canby, MN formerly of Gary, SD, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Sylvan Court Nursing Home in Canby, MN. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Thursday, October 1, 2020 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Gary, SD. Visitation will be Thursday October 1, 2020 one hour prior to the service at the church.
Kay Lorraine (Jensen) Mason was born on March 12, 1945 in Hendricks, MN to Milton and Olga (Orstad) Jensen of Gary South Dakota. Kay was blessed with three children, Jimmy Jo, Janine Kay, and Rick Lee. Kay spent her working career taking care of the elderly and waitressing. Kay enjoyed making people laugh thru a good joke and liked having fun. Kay’s favorite food was a “Roast Beef Commercial”, she had these daily at the Canby Nursing Home.
Kay is survived by her daughter, Janine (Bruce) Myhre of Montgomery, TX; son Ricky Lee Mason of Moose Lake, MN; Grand Children, James and Joseph Jemming, Chentel Lund, Meranda Cool and Jacob Dobmeier. Great Grandchildren, Alexia Spinks, Kaylah and Gracelyn Myhre. Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Milton and Olga, her son, Jimmy Jo and Grandson Quinten Donald Myhre.
