Katrina Vick, age 63, of Canby, MN passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 26th at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, MN. Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 25th at Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, MN and will resume Monday one hour prior to the service at the church. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel of Canby, MN is entrusted with arrangements.
Katrina Lynn Vick was born May 5th, 1960, to James & Margery (Siferd) Nichter, in Tokyo Japan. She moved a lot because her father James was a Captain in the Air Force and lived in almost all 50 states. She moved back to Canby Minnesota in 1986. She was united in marriage to Steven Vick on July 29, 1994 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, MN. She enjoyed spending time with family. She was very good at drawing and decorating. Trina worked in various trades, mainly restaurants and health services while living in Canby. She was a CNA at the Canby hospital, the Canby nursing home & REM.
She is survived by her husband, Steven Vick; her daughter, Amy Kirsch; her son, Nicholas Nichter; stepson, Joshua Vick; mother, Margery Nichter; and several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, James Nichter; her two brothers, Walle Nichter and Michael Nichter; her daughter, Annie Heikkila; and her grandson, Micha Kirsch.
