SPICER — A snowmobiler has died following a crash in Kandiyohi County. According to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 2:43 Wednesday afternoon, officers were called to the 12-thousand block of 2nd Street Northeast in Lake Andrew Township, about six miles west of Spicer, for a snowmobile accident.
When officers arrived, they located a 2023 Ski-Doo snowmobile and a 67-year-old individual laying on the ground. Officers attempted to perform life saving measures, however the person was declared dead at the scene. The name of the individual will be released once family members have been notified.
The incident is still under investigation by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.
Assistance was provided by the New London Fire Department, New London Ambulance, Spicer First Responders, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, Centra-Care Ambulance, and the Minnesota DNR.
