Jeremy Tade Paxton passed away on May 15, 2023, from complications of the heart. He was 45 years old. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are with the Hamilton Funeral Home in Marshall.
Jeremy Tade Paxton was born on September 21, 1977, in Marshall, Minnesota. He grew up in Ghent, surrounded by his cousins and other extended family members with plenty of love to go around. Growing up in a small town, the cousins were all the best of friends. They raised their share of Cain and then some. The highlight was hanging out at the local M&M Café. Jeremy had a heart of gold and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need. His quick sense of humor and easy smile brought sunshine to everyone’s day. He had a passion for reading and a great love for dogs. My son has taken a detour from the road of life that the two of us have traveled together, navigating around a few rough spots along the way. We shall meet again and continue our journey.
Jeremy is survived by his mother, Ruby Stumm; stepfather, Fred Stumm; step-brother, Aaron Stumm; father, Dean Paxton of Northfield; aunts, Taryn Gemelke (and Brad Jackson), Deb (and Tony) Anderson; uncles, Tobi Gemelke, Regan (and Shelly) Gemelke; and many more relatives who loved him deeply. Jeremy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Jeannette Gemelke; paternal grandparents, Clarence and Dulas Paxton; cousin, Matt Haas; and uncles, Timm Gemelke, Terry Gemelke, and Tom Gemelke.
I will hold you in my heart until I can hold you in heaven; blessed be the memory of my son, Jeremy Paxton.
