Taylor Swift didn’t just release an album on Friday. She released a DOUBLE ALBUM. “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” features 15 extra songs.
One of those songs is called “thanK you aIMee”, and it’s a Kim Kardashian DISS TRACK. Yes, like so many things in her life, she just can’t let this go.
The title itself is a tip-off, since the only letters than are capitalized are the “K”, “I”, and “M”, and they appear in that order.
Also, on Apple Music, the lyrics are stylized the same way. Like the line, “Screamed ‘[eff] you, aIMee’ to the night sky, as the blood was gushin’.” Once again, the “K”, “I”, and “M” are capitalized.
There’s also mention of a “bronze spray-tanned statue,” and a line that goes, “And so I changed your name, and any real defining clues.”
Then there’s this: “And one day, your kid comes home singin’ / A song that only us two is gonna know is about you.”
