WOOD LAKE – The Wood Lake Fire Department held their 2nd Annual Fish Fry at the Wood Lake Community Center on Friday, February 10th. Approximately 350 people attended the event, which was a fundraiser for the Wood Lake Fire Department to help purchase Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). According to Wood Lake Fire Chief Keith Mueller, approximately $3,500 was raised after expenses. Members of the Wood Lake Fire Department fried up about 300 pounds of fish, 50 pounds of coleslaw, and 14 big cans of baked beans. The Wood Lake Fire Department has a pancake feed scheduled for March 10th at the Wood Lake Community Center.
