Hy-Vee issues recall for potato salads due to possible contamination

WEST DES MOINES, IA (LEARFIELD)  —  Hy-Vee grocery stores are recalling some potato salads due to possible contamination.

The voluntary recall of Hy-Vee and Mealtime branded potato salad products was issued Friday.  The products were distributed to Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Wisconsin stores.

Preliminary tests showed microbes were present in the production line.  Final test results identifying the microbes are expected back in seven-to-10 days.
