MARSHALL, Minn. — Marshall’s Highway 19 reconstruction project continues to advance, with concrete paving now complete at the Redwood Street crossing and sidewalk installation ongoing between Main Street and the Liberty Park Bridge.

According to the latest construction update, crews are continuing to install ADA-compliant sidewalk components at intersections, while landscaping work is set to begin in the area.

At the Bruce Street and Highway 19 intersection, water main installation is nearly complete. Grading and storm sewer work have been finished, and surveying for curb and gutter placement and underground signal system work has also been completed. Between Legion Field Bridge and Main Street, crews continued boulevard maintenance.

This week, weather permitting, landscaping, sidewalk installation and ADA improvements will continue between Main Street and the Liberty Park Bridge. Streetlight support pole installation is also scheduled to begin.

At the Bruce Street intersection, crews are expected to begin installing concrete curb and gutter, start concrete paving, complete the water main installation and begin underground signal system work. Between Liberty Park Bridge and Bruce Street, sanitary sewer work will be completed and water main installation will begin in the High Street to Hill Street area.

Traffic impacts remain in place. Highway 19 is closed between Main Street and the Liberty Park Bridge, with traffic detoured via Lyon County Road 7 and Highway 23. The Bruce Street and Highway 19 intersection remains closed, as does Highway 19 between High Street and Hill Street. Businesses within the construction zone remain open, and the Addison public parking lot is accessible. Motorists are reminded to watch for pedestrians.
