ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD) – Lawmakers did not quite finish up all of their work before last night’s mandatory deadline at the state capitol.
One of the issues that remain undecided for a special session later this week is a 500-million-bonding bill to help fund projects for roads and bridges. That won’t happen without the help of House Republicans.
“It is late, to think they didn’t talk to us in the minority until the very last day of session in the afternoon tells me they weren’t real serious about getting a bonding bill,” said Daudt. “We’re certainly open to considering it.”
But Daudt indicates that he and Democrats have not talked about what House Republicans would need to support the transportation bonding bill.
