(SAINT PAUL, MN) LEARFIELD — The weekly flu report from the Minnesota Department of Health shows a slight decline in hospitalizations. Three-hundred-82 people were hospitalized with influenza in the state last week – down from 563 two weeks ago. There have been just over 23-hundred hospitalizations in Minnesota this season. The update includes 18 more flu-related deaths for a total 46 through December 10th. Flu outbreaks in schools increased to 117 last week after 76 in the previous week. There were 13 outbreaks in long-term care facilities. State health officials continue to encourage everyone to get a flu shot.
