ST. PAUL (LEARFIELD)   —   Gov. Tim Walz signs the one-point-nine-billion-dollar bonding bill for state public works projects this afternoon (Wednesday 2 p-m) at an ironworkers training center in Saint Paul.

House Republicans through four special sessions refused to provide needed votes, trying to force Governor Walz to relinquish his COVID emergency powers.

But in last week’s fifth special session — just weeks before the election — they relented.

Governor Walz says the bonding bill is “a smart investment that will create thousands of good-paying jobs.”
