(Ann Arbor, MI) — Mike Mitchell Jr. led five players in double-figures with 18 points and Dawson Garcia had a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds as Minnesota (11-3, 2-1 B1G) recorded a key 73-71 road victory at Michigan. Mitchell Jr. made 6-of-12 field goals, including 4-of-9 from three-point range, to lead Minnesota in scoring for the third-straight game. Ethan Hawkins, who leads the nation at 7.8 assists per game, finished with a season-high 14 points by making 4-of-5 three-pointers. Garcia notched his third point-rebound double-double of the season, his second in Big Ten play, and Pharrel Payne was a force in the second half with eight points and five boards after the break. Minnesota returns to Williams Arena to take on the Maryland Terrapins on Sunday at 4:30 P-M.
