The funeral service for Gladys Hahn, 90, of Tracy, will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2020, at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Tracy. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the remembrance center. Lunch and continued fellowship will follow at the remembrance center. Interment will follow at the Tracy Community Cemetery.

Gladys (Hinderman) Hahn was born on January 9, 1930, in Ridgely Township, Nicollet County, the fourth of five children born to Herbert and Lydia (Mielke) Hinderman. Glady’s family moved from Ridgely to Courtland in 1941 where she completed her schooling to the eighth grade. In 1946, they moved to New Ulm, MN, where she met her future husband, Joseph A. Hahn. The couple was married on May 17, 1947. They had one daughter, Julie, and four grandchildren. After the marriage, they moved to Tracy where Joe worked for the railroad. Gladys worked at Fairway Foods and for the phone company. Later, she worked at Prairie View Nursing Home for about 30 years. She was active in the VFW the Lions Club and Tracy Lutheran Church Auxiliary. Gladys moved to O’Brien Court in 2015. In 2019, she moved to Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy.

Gladys died on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at Prairie View Senior Living.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Julie (and Darell) Waltz of Prior Lake and her four grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Lester Hinderman of Brook Park, MN and sister-in-law Lois Bode of New Ulm. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph, on December 17, 1993, her parents and siblings Roger, Ordell, Theal, and Lorraine Hulke.
