Mass of Christian Burial for Geraldine Phyllis Calvin, 88, of Marshall, will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.  A walk through visitation will take place on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Horvath Remembrance Center in Marshall.  Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be followed at all times.  Interment will follow the service at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

Geraldine Phyllis Calvin was born on January 27, 1932, in Green Valley, MN, to Thomas and Bertha (Blank) Lindsay. She attended grade school in Green Valley and graduated from Marshall High School. On January 23, 1951, she was united in marriage to James Calvin at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Milroy. The couple farmed for a few years before moving to Marshall. Gerry worked for the Terrace Park Dairy, Swifts, and the Schwan Food Company. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed gardening, camping and baking especially Belgian Cookies.

Gerry died on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the Prairie Home Hospice Lockwood House in Marshall. She is survived by her husband James of Marshall, children Vickie Radel of Spicer, Deb (and Ken) Nielsen of Marshall, Dan (and Donna) Calvin of Marshall, Don (and Julie) Calvin of Savage, Mike (and Nanci) Calvin of Spicer, grandson Adam (and Carissa) Radel, their children Rowen, Gavin and Lucia, grandson Paul (and Stephanie) Radel, their children Lilliana and Levi, granddaughter Kris Fenton and her children Cassie and Jesse, granddaughter Stacie (and Jarett) Munneke their son Porter, granddaughter Dawn (and Derek) Moorse, their children Jordan, Hidie, Morgan and Ella, grandson Jeff Calvin (and Cade) and their sons Riley and Finn, granddaughter Nikki (and Chris) Rostad and their daughter Reese, grandson Matt Calvin (and Amber) and their children Chase and Wyatt, granddaughter Samantha and grandson Alex Calvin, sister Leatrice Versluys and nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Margaret, Gertrude, Gilbert, John, Tom, Robert, Arlene and infant sister Dorothy.
