GREEN VALLEY (KMHL) – A fire destroyed a garage and did extensive damage to a home southwest of Cottonwood early Saturday morning.
Cottonwood Fire Chief Dale Louwagie says no one was hurt in the fire that was reported shortly after midnight on Saturday.
Louwagie says the fire started when the occupant of the home was using a smoker and put it in the garage without turning it off.
He said the fire destroyed the garage and did extensive smoke damage to the home.
