Gail Arnold Schipansky was born on February 6, 1946, in Marshall, Minnesota, to Arnold and Norma (Weigers) Schipansky. He was baptized and confirmed at Christ Lutheran Church in Marshall. Gail graduated from Marshall High School with the class of 1964 and then began his life-long printing career starting at the Marshall Messenger newspaper.  On June 11, 1966, Gail was united in marriage to Nancy Holm at First Lutheran Church in Marshall. The couple made their home in Marshall and raised their 2 children, Tim and Tammy. Growing up in Marshall Gail would fish and hunt with his many friends and helped his parents Arnold and Norma sell Christmas wreaths and trees during the Christmas season. Eventually he took over that business, making everyone’s Christmas a little brighter with his humorous wit. Gail worked at Gesme Printing before starting his own company, Sky Printing, in 1990. He was proud to retire about 6 years ago and focus on his tractor and classic car passions. He was involved with the Idler’s Club, Shades of the Past and a member of The Upper Midwest Allis Chalmers Club. Wherever his hobbies would take him he would always entertain a good deal and was very meticulous about his restorations, down to the very last nut and bolt.  Gail was happy living outside of Marshall with his wife of 54 years, his business, his cars and tractors, and many memories made over the years. He died at his home, on Thursday, August 27, 2020. He reached the age of 74 years, 6 months, and 21 days. Blessed be his memory.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Schipansky of Marshall, MN; children, Tim (Yvette) Schipansky of Scottsdale, AZ, Tammy (Curt) Lilleodden of Solon, IA; 6 grandchildren, Timothy Cole Schipansky of Scottsdale, AZ, Logan Schipansky of Tempe, AZ, Sarah (Robert) LeGarde of Duluth, Ben Lilleodden of Duluth, John Lilleodden of Cedar Rapids, IA, Christine Lilleodden of Solon, IA; 2 great-granddaughters, Olivia LeGarde, Penelope LeGarde; 3 brothers, Gary (Barb) Schipansky of Tooele, UT, Darrel (Mary) Schipansky of Villisca, IA, Dean Schipansky of Gillette, WY; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  Gail is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Norma Schipansky.
