UNDATED (LEARFIELD) – Residents in two dozen Minnesota counties, including Lyon, Nobles, Rock and Kandiyohi, can now order a free COVID saliva test on-line to take at home, under a pilot program just launched by the state Health Department.

“You can just get online, order your test, it’ll come in the mail, it’s very easy,” said Assistant Health Commissioner Dan Huff. “Actually you’ll do a Zoom call with a health provider over the computer, they’ll just walk you threw it and you’ll mail it right in.”

Huff says people will receive results in a couple days via e-mail. He says they will offer the pilot program for a couple of weeks, but hopefully be able to expand it soon.

“We’ll make sure we get everything worked out, and then by sometime in November, we’ll have it available to everybody in Minnesota,” added Huff.
