DFL U.S. Senate candidate Peggy Flanagan has accepted invitations to participate in two debates with Republican nominee Michele Tafoya in October.
Flanagan’s campaign says one debate would be hosted by MPR News in St. Paul. The other would originate in Duluth and be televised through a partnership involving KBJR and FOX 9.
Dates and broadcast details have not yet been finalized, and Tafoya has not yet accepted the invitations.
Flanagan and Tafoya won their respective August primary elections and are competing for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Tina Smith, who is retiring.
