Marshall (Learfield)- The countdown to this year’s fishing opener is on.
The DNR’s Brad Parsons says ice-out conditions on area lakes are a little behind this year. He says that is not a bad thing necessarily since the delayed ice-out and warm temperatures in May can really aid in walleye reproduction.
This year’s walleye fishing opener is Saturday, May 14th.
