COTTONWOOD (KMHL) – A fire has destroyed the building that housed G&B Wood Chips in Cottonwood.

Fire officials say the call came in around 6:15 a.m. this (Wednesday) morning.

Cottonwood Assistant Fire Chief Jeremy Dieken tells Marshall Radio that no one was injured in the fire, but the building was fully engulfed in flames by the time the first officer arrived on scene.

“Right now we got it contained to the one building,” said Dieken. “That is what our main priority was.”

He adds the state fire marshal has been called in to help investigate.

Fire officials say no one was hurt. Fire departments from Cottonwood, Marshall, Wood Lake and Hanley Falls all responded to the fire.
