WABASSO – A fatal accident occurred Monday afternoon on Highway 68 in Redwood County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 12:35 Monday afternoon, a 2015 International semi was traveling eastbound on State Highway 68 and a 2016 Ford F150 was traveling northbound on Redwood County Road 6 when they collided in the intersection. Dispatch received a 911 call reporting a collision with a semi and a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames.
There were four occupants in the Ford, a 25-year-old woman, and three children, ages 4, 2, and 1, all from Wheaton.
A 63-year-old man from Redwood Falls was the lone occupant of the semi.
