Once each month, older Minnesotans can get in-person help from the Senior LinkAge Line® on a variety of topics by visiting a community site. Senior LinkAge Line staff and volunteers can help with understanding Medicare, comparing insurance options, finding ways to save money, filling out applications and much more. They can also help reporting fraud and abuse. Author Jim Heynen to Read Feb. 26 at SMSU
SMSU 1501 State St., Marshall, MN, United StatesAuthor Jim Heynen will read from his work at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 26 in Charter Hall 201 on the campus of Southwest Minnesota State University. His appearance, sponsored by the Creative Writing Program, is part of the Visiting Writers Series at SMSU. Heynen is best known for his short stories. Many of these stories have been broadcast on NRP’s “All Things Considered,” and Minnesota astronaut George Pinky Nelson took a recording of Heynen’s stories for bedtime listening on his last space mission.
