Vietnam Veterans Panel
Lyon County Museum 301 West Lyon Street, Marshall, MN, United StatesThe Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall is hosting a Vietnam Veterans Panel in connection with the new exhibit, The Vietnam War and Lyon County. This event will be held on Saturday, November 4 at 2:00 PM in the conference room at the museum. The panel includes local Vietnam veterans: Dan Dybsetter, Dan Markell, Rich Maurer, Karl Porisch, and George Seldat. Panelists will discuss topics related to their service during the Vietnam War. UW Dine Local Help Local – Subway Sunday
November 5th is Subway Sunday! 10% of sales from Subway in Canby, Granite Falls, Slayton, Tracy, and both Marshall locations will go towards supporting the United Way of Southwestern Minnesota. United Way of Southwest Minnesota (UWSWMN) is honored to be partnering with local businesses for Dine Local Help Local this fall. All funds raised will be invested in local programs to benefit local people throughout the service area. The breakfast menu includes pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, & milk. All net breakfast proceeds go towards medical expenses for the Flores family.
Buffalo Ridge Chorale Farewell Concert
Christ Lutheran Church in Hendricks 104 E Henderson St., Hendricks, MN, United StatesOn Sunday, November 5th, at 7:00 pm the Buffalo Ridge Chorale will present its farewell concert at Christ Lutheran Church, Hendricks, Minnesota. Since 2010, the chorale has performed concerts in various communities in Minnesota. The evenings music selections include Gershwin's "Love Is Here to Stay" plus classics such as "Nice'N Easy", "I've Got the World on a String", "Always and Forever", "Turn Turn Turn" and many more. The Chorale's director, Dr. Anna DeGraff, is an instructor of applied voice and music appreciation at South Dakota State University in Brookings. The accompanist, Shawn Stemsrud, is a choir director at Brookings High School. [...]
