The next monthly veterans coffee at the Lyon County Museum, 301 W Lyon St, Marshall is Tuesday, August 6 at 1:30 pm.  The monthly coffee is open to all veterans.  Enjoy coffee, water, juice, and treats while visiting with fellow veterans in the ice cream shop at the museum.  For more information, contact the museum at 507-537-6580 or director@lyoncomuseum.org

Cindy Wilson will give a presentation at the Wheels Across the Prairie Museum in Tracy on Aug 12, Monday, at 6:30 . The presentation will be about her new book, We Suffered Much.  She will talk about Charles Wood Irish and the Dakota Territory Railroad Survey of 1879 - 1881.  C. W. Irish charted a path for the railroad , beginning in Tracy and headed toward Deadwood. The author will talk about events close to Tracy.
