GriefShare: New Session beginning Monday, February 19, 2024  If you have experienced the death of a loved one (spouse, child, friend, family) and are journeying toward grief healing, you are invited to GriefShare 13-week sessions.  GriefShare features biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar features nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people, followed by a small group discussion about what was viewed. The session will begin Monday, February 19, 6:30-8:00 pm, in Holy Redeemer Church Gathering Space, Marshall.

Slayton Winter Crops Day & Small Grains Program

The University of Minnesota Extension Slayton Winter Crops Day and Small Grains Program will be held in person on Thursday, Feb. 22, at the 4-H building in Slayton. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with the program running from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Whether you farm or work with farmers, this program is a great opportunity to hear the latest University-based research and information about corn, soybean and small grain production issues and management strategies. Hadley Area’s 31st Wild Game Feed

Get some good grub at the Hadley Area's 31st Wild Game Feed February 24th at the Hadley Area Community Center. Serving starts at 5:00 p.m. & goes until the food is gone. Cost is $15 for adults & $10 ages 5 to 15. Partial menu includes: rocky mountain oysters, pheasant pot pie, Hadley's elk meatballs, deer enchiladas, venison, rabbit, liver & onions, & turkey.

Tracy F.F.A. Alumni Pancake Breakfast

Sunday, Feb. 25th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Caboose in Tracy will be the Tracy area F.F.A. alumni pancake breakfast. Menu includes pancakes, sausage, eggs, & beverages. Cost is a free will offering. Proceeds will go towards fees and scholarships for the local F.F.A. participants.

KC & VFW Ivanhoe Fish Fry

Please join the knights of Columbus council #4912 and Lincoln County VFW post #2980 for a fish fry on March 1st at the Lincoln County VFW Post 2980. Serving will be from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Menu includes : fish, green beans, french fries, & dinner roll. Cost is $13.00. Another Fish Fry will take place on March 15th, same time, same place. All proceeds will be split between the Knights of Columbus & the VFW. Thank you for all of your support!

Breakfast Fundraiser for Caryl Schlapkohl

Come to the Lake Benton Community & Event Center and join the Lions club Sunday, March 3rd 9:00 am - 12:30 pm for a breakfast fundraiser to support Caryl Schlapkohl. Menu includes: pancakes, french toast, eggs, sausage, toast, coffee, & milk. Caryl has struggled over 40 years with Rheumatoid Arthritis, undergoing numerous surgeries, most recently back surgery. More surgeries will be required in the future. Then in 2022 she was diagnosed with cancer.
