Mustang Matness Youth Wrestling
SMSU Wrestling is pleased to be hosting the inaugural Mustang Matness Youth wrestling tournament Saturday Jan. 6th, 2024! Tournament takes place in the SMSU PE Gym with a 10 a.m. start. The tournament is open for all youth wrestlers, featuring age divisions up to U14! Entry's just $17 and no USA Wrestling card is required, as it is a "Take a shot" on MN-USA Wrestling event. Breakfast Fundraiser – Lake Benton Lions Club
Come to the Lake Benton Community & Event Center Sunday, January 7th for a breakfast put on by Lions Clubs International. Serving for the breakfast will be from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm. The breakfast menu includes: Pancakes, French Toast, Eggs, Sausage, Toast, Coffee, & Milk. Net proceeds will be given to the Lake Benton Fire Department for new turnout gear.

Here is your opportunity to help out families in need at the Walsh Village/Ronald McDonald house at Avera McKennan in Sioux Falls, SD. They are in need of: individual size bottle water, individual size bottled juice, individually wrapped snacks - fruit snacks, granola bars, cereal bars, cookies, crackers, snack cakes, etc. You can drop off any item at the Porter Cafe in Porter,MN between 6a and 3p daily during the month of January.

Gold Star Family Program – LyonCoMuseum
Saturday, January 20th at 2:00 p.m. will be the Gold Start Family Program presented at the Lyon County Museum. On June 19th, 1969, Thomas Bradley from Minneota was killed in action while serving his country in Vietnam. Deb Ahmann, Tom's sister, will share stories about her family and Tom's life and service. The presentation is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served.

A ham dinner fundraiser will take place Sunday, January 21st from 11 am to 1 pm at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco, MN. Both dine in and or to go is available for the dinner. The dinner will be a free will donation. The first $500 will be gifted to the Lincoln County relay for life. Menu includes: ham, mashed potatoes & gravy, candied carrots, stuffing, bar, bun and a beverage. The dinner is sponsored by Forever Jen Memorial Run Inc. Mark your calendar and plan to attend the 2024 Pipestone Lamb and Wool Program Lambing Time Short Course and Bus Tour which will be held on February 2nd and 3rd in Pipestone. We have an excellent program planned and we will be touring outstanding sheep operations.
