The Milroy Lions Club is having an all you can eat pulled BBQ dinner. This will be Wednesday, August 2nd at Milroy City Park from 5 to 8 PM. They will be serving grilled pork roast, with homemade BBQ sauce, corn on the cob (if ready), potato salad, bread and a beverage. There will also be dessert table from the Milroy Go Getters 4H and the Lions beer wagon. For the meal, Adults are $12, ages 6-12 are $5, and all kids age 5 or under eat free. The MK 5K Run and Family Fun Walk is an in person out and back 5K run or 2 mile walk in support of the Southwest Crisis Center and Mary Kay Foundation that takes place during the Nobles County Fair in Worthington, Minnesota.  This race will challenge your heart in two ways. The Lyon County Museum is hosting an open house in celebration of their new exhibit on the Vietnam war on Tuesday, August 8th from 1:30 to 4:00 PM. This event is open to all veterans, their family members, and active military service men and women. Light refreshments will be served. During this special opening, at 2:00 PM local Vietnam veterans will share how they participated in the exhibit.

Milroy Fire Supper Feed is back for their second annual burger, brat, and hot dog feed Monday, August 14th from 5-8 PM! They will additionally be serving coleslaw, beans, and chips. Also, they will serve plenty of cold beverages for all ages. Dessert will be supplied by the 4-H table with their famous treats. A raffle drawing will be at 7 PM. This meal is a free will donation.
