Dylan and Alysha Christensen are expecting a baby boy in March. At their 20-week ultrasound they were told their baby has a heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. He will need open heart surgery when he is born, having to see several doctors, specialists, and their cardiologists often. The couple will be driving to Colorado where they will stay in a Ronald McDonald house until the baby is born in the Colorado Children's Hospital, where he will undergo his surgery. SLEEPY EYE SPORTSMAN’S CLUB 40th ANNUAL FISHING Derby to be held SUNDAY FEBRUARY 6TH FROM 12-3 PM on Sleepy Eye Lake. Get there early, registration begins at 9:30 am. 3 cash prizes will be awarded in 6 categories, Sunfish, Crappie, Perch, Bass, Walleye, Northern. Entry fee is $5.00 per person for the contest. This year we will be the raffling an ICE CASTLE FISH HOUSE, with a value of $17,500, AN ATV-4wheeler valued at $7,200, plus 4-$500 cash prizes and 4- $250 cash prizes. Join the Echo Lions Club for the community event at the Echo Community Center. Doors open at 11:30am Lunch will be Chili, Chicken Dumpling Soup, build your own sandwich, the fixings, and beverages, FREE popcorn BINGO starting by 12:15pm Free Will Donation to play!!! All BINGO proceeds will be donated to an Echo Community Group. 20 games 2 cards per game to start. If there are cards remaining more will be offered. GREAT prizes and local gifts/gift cards
