The American Red Cross asks people to schedule time to give blood now to keep the blood supply stable ahead of the busy holiday season. Just one generous hour of time could be the lifesaving difference for patients in need.
As a thank-you, those who come to give blood, platelets or plasma Oct. 27-Nov. 16, will receive $20 in e-gift cards to a merchant of choice. Plus, all who come to give will receive automatic entry for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards. See RedCrossBlood.org/Harvest for details.

If you are 17 years of age, 16 with parental consent, in good health, and weigh at least 110 pounds you’re eligible to give.
