“Dolly Parton’s Pet Gala” came out this Wednesday on Paramount Plus, and it looks like everyone who was in attendance had a blast. And in addition to all the cute animals, we got to see Dolly perform with both Lainey Wilson and Carly Pearce.
And it got us thinking about some other great Dolly stories we stumbled upon lately. Check these out:
1. Did you know that Dolly almost didn’t do her 1978 “Playboy” cover shoot? She said, “I didn’t want to be naked unless everybody knew it was a joke.”
2. Dolly said last month that there still might be hope for a “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” reboot. She said, “they’re still working on that.” Dolly was an uncredited producer on the original.
3. Dolly also wants to hold a “Finding Dolly” contest to cast her in an upcoming Broadway musical. She said, “right now, I’m working on my life story as a musical” and that she’s hoping to see that dream come true by “late 2025.”
4. Dolly just released a collaboration with Mr. Worldwide himself, Pitbull. It’s called, “Powerful Women” . . . it samples “9 to 5” . . . and it is a bop. Dolly even raps a bit. (Check out this unexpected collab, here.)
