MARSHALL (KMHL) – The City of Marshall has a new Economic Development Director. Yesterday, the city named Lauren Deutz as the next EDA Director.
Deutz has served as Marshall’s Convention Visitors Bureau Director since 2018. In a press release, the city says Deutz was selected after an extensive hiring process. As the EDA Director she will report directly to City Administrator Sharon Hanson.
“We look forward to Lauren joining our team,” said Marshall Mayor Bob Byrnes. “She is well regarded in our business community and will work to provide the resources to meet our local needs. This position is key for Marshall and the region.”
Deutz has a Mass Communications and Public Relations degree from Minnesota State – Mankato, and an MBA from Southwest Minnesota State.
She will begin her duties on April 1st.
