Dawson Fire Department called to Fire at AGP

Dawson (KMHL) – Thursday evening after 11:00, the Dawson fire department was called to AGP in Dawson where the south side of the plant was fully engulfed in flames. The Dawson police department, Dawson ambulance, Lac Qui Parle Sheriff, and Boyd and Madison fire departments were also called to assist at the scene. The Montevideo fire department was called to bring their aerial truck. The fire was contained and no injures were reported. The cause of the fire is thought to be an equipment bearing failure.
