David Antony, age 73, of Canby, MN passed away peacefully with family by his side Thursday, May 9, 2024 at his home in Canby. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 17th at St. Leo Catholic Church in St. Leo, MN. Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16th with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel in Canby, MN. Burial will be at St. Leo Catholic Cemetery in St. Leo, MN. Houseman Funeral Home, Birk Chapel of Canby, MN is entrusted with arrangements.

David Nicholas Antony was born on July 7, 1950 to Wilfred and Evelyn Antony in Canby, MN. He was baptized, received Holy Communion, and was confirmed at St. Leo Catholic Church. David graduated from Canby High School in 1968, and then went to the Canby Vo tech for shop mechanics. He graduated from the Canby Votech in 1969. In February, 1970 he entered the army and served in the Vietnam war.  After returning from the service he was self employed as a farmer and did carpentry work. David loved farming, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.  David was an active member of the VFW Post 5334, DAV Chapter 33 Southwest Minnesota, and Commander of the American Legion of St. Leo. David and Pam went on many trips together, including his last trip to Europe in September of last year. David also enjoyed spending time at Big Stone Lake.

David is survived by his life partner Pamela Neet of Canby; children: Valerie (Jon) Klukas of Russell, Carissa (Curt) Stockmann of Canby, and Jamie (Matt) Fliss of Minneota; brother, Gerald (Nancy) Antony of Watertown, SD; sister, Connie (Jim) Ehmiller of Hopkins; eight grandkids, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters-in-law Judith (Judy) Antony and Karen Frietag, and nephew Jason Antony.
