MARSHALL (KMHL) – The city of Marshall is moving another step forward on a project that could lead to a renovated city hall.

The Marshall City Council voted to approve calling for bids on the estimated $6.1 million project.

On a vote of 4-2 the council approved a vote to call for bids on the project. Council members Glenn Bayerkohler and Russ Labat were opposed. Both had concerns about the cost of the project, Bayerkohler suggested the city hold a public meeting to discuss the project and hear feedback from the public.

The council will accept bids through the end of October, and will approve or reject a bid at its meeting on November 12.
