WABASSO — Congresswoman Michelle Fischbach visited the Wabasso Ambulance Service earlier this month to learn about the innovative tele-EMS services being implemented in rural Minnesota. Through a partnership between Avel eCare, Southwest Minnesota EMS, and Wabasso Ambulance, local emergency services now have access to certified physicians, paramedics, and nurses via video call directly from ambulances.

During her visit, Fischbach observed a live demonstration of the tele-EMS equipment and expressed appreciation for the technology’s potential to improve patient outcomes in rural areas where travel time to hospitals is often critical. Fischbach emphasized the importance of advancements like these in strengthening rural healthcare services.
