MARSHALL (KMHL) – Work at Veteran’s Memorial Park in downtown Marshall is wrapping up – and the City of Marshall will hold the Veteran’s Memorial Park Inauguration on Thursday at 11 a.m.

Former Marshall Fire Chief Mark Klaith led the effort to organize the park project.

“It’s been seven years in the making to get this done, and we’ve had great community support,” said Klaith. “We’re inviting everybody to come down and see that, we’ll unveil it at that time.”

Klaith said the program will include a flyover from one of Ron Fagen’s military planes.

Thursday’s Inauguration is the completion of the final phase of the project.
