Marshall (KMHL) – Established in 1872, the City of Marshall will be celebrating its Sesquicentennial Anniversary throughout 2022. The City’s 150th celebration will give the community an opportunity to recognize Marshall’s history, people, businesses, culture, public service, and vision throughout the celebration season.

The Marshall 150thAnniversary Committee, co-chaired by Southwest Minnesota Arts Council Executive Director Nicole DeBoer and Mayor Bob Byrnes will host a series of events to commemorate the anniversary beginning in the spring.

Events will include the City of Marshall’s Birthday Party, a Living History and Art event, and the reveal of a Community Art Piece in honor of the anniversary.

A full schedule of events will be released at a later date as well as volunteer and other support opportunities.
