Madison Man Killed, Four Injured in Highway 212 Crash

DAWSON -- A Madison man is dead and four others, including two young children, were injured on Friday in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 212 in Lac Qui Parle County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 10:41 Friday morning in Riverside Township, a 2006 Ford F-350 pickup truck was traveling eastbound on Highway 212 and a 2020 GMC Terrain SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 212 when they collided.  The driver of the Ford, 60-year-old Dale Jerome Monnens of Madison, died from injuries sustained in the accident. Halloween Snowfall Reports Top 4 Inches in Minnesota

(Chanhassen, MN) — Parts of Minnesota saw significant Halloween snowfall on Thursday, though nothing like the famous 1991 blizzard. The National Weather Service reports that Henriette in Pine County topped totals with 4.5 inches, followed closely by Monticello, Plymouth, and Winthrop at 4.3 inches each. Maple Lake recorded 3.5 inches, while Buffalo and Hinckley received 3 inches. Windom saw 2 inches, and Duluth recorded 1.6 inches. The storm began as rain before turning to heavy, wet snow, creating tricky driving conditions. The Minnesota State Patrol reported responding to 219 crashes statewide on Halloween.

Marshall Man Arrested After Brief Pursuit Near Cottonwood

COTTONWOOD — A 20-year-old man from Marshall was arrested Monday evening after a brief police pursuit on Highway 23, according to the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 6:29 p.m., a Lyon County deputy attempted to stop a silver 2017 Ford Escape near Cottonwood. Three Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash at Highway 59 and 23 Intersection in Marshall

MARSHALL -- Three people were injured in a three-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 59 and 23 on Tuesday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 1:52 Tuesday afternoon, a 2003 Oldsmobile Alero was traveling southbound on Highway 59. A 2021 Kia Soul was also traveling southbound on Highway 59. Highway 59 Reopens Following Concrete Repair Project in Lyon County

MARSHALL – Highway 59 south of Marshall and Garvin is now open to traffic following the completion of a major concrete repair project, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced today. Three Injured in Highway 23 Collision Near Cottonwood

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision near Cottonwood on Thursday, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
