A study out of the University of Brighton looked at the ways having a DOG can positively impact your life. And even though the study focused specifically on dogs, a lot of these things can apply to pets in general . . .     1. Structure and routine. On Halloween, PORCH "PIRATES" only want your candy . . . as opposed to the rest of the year, when porch pirates want to STEAL YOUR STUFF.     According to new research, Americans lost an estimated $15.7 BILLION to porch pirates last year alone. That's from 241 MILLION stolen packages.     The average loss isn't huge. It's $65 per package, and 85% are under $100 . . . but that doesn't make the inconvenience any less infuriating.
