Carl Edward Lund, age 69 of Morton, went to heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 25, 2026, while in the comfort care at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato, MN surrounded by his loving family. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2026, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Franklin. Visitation will take place 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30 at Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Friday. Private family burial will be in the Beaver Falls Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Carl Edward Lund was born September 14, 1956, in Redwood Falls, MN to Edward and Shirley Ann (Wehking) Lund. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Franklin. He attended Morton School, graduating in 1975. After high school he attended Granite Falls Technical College in Granite Falls for 3 years. Carl was briefly married to Kathy Luepke; to this union were born two sons, Scott and Brent. He worked at Dickmeyer Ford Car Lot in Fairfax, as a salesman. He then owned and operated Lund’s Body Shop in Fairfax for 43 years. He was meticulous about his work and enjoyed the many projects he would take on. He had a love for Mustangs! Carl met the love of his life, Jackie, in 1985. They were united in marriage October 22, 1994, at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Franklin. To this union were born two sons, Jordan and Jared. Carl and Jackie raised their 4 boys at their country home in Morton. Carl enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, 4 wheeling, walking thru the woods collecting deer sheds, working on his cars and trucks, collecting anything he could, watching the boys play sports, and spending time with Jackie, the boys and the grandkids. He had many pets with his special dogs being Jazzy and Patches. Carl and Jackie were married for 31 years, 6 months and 3 days.
Carl is survived by his wife Jackie (Stepan) Lund of Morton; son Scott Lund of Marshall, son Brent (Ashley) Lund of Sanborn, son Jordan (Sarah) Lund of Springfield, son Jared Lund of Olivia; 5 grandchildren: Hailey Groebner (Seth Swan) of Sioux Falls, SD, Kandon Lund, Khloe Lund, Scarlett Lund, Hudson Lund; and great-granddaughter Paisley Swan. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Shirley Ann Lund, Sister Debra Lund, brother-in-law David Allen and brother-in-law Clint Stepan.
