Beatrice L. Weverka, age 94, of Ivanhoe, MN passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Hendricks Nursing Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 10, 2020 at the St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno, MN. Burial will be in the St. John Cantius Catholic Cemetery, Wilno. Visitation will be Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.

Beatrice L. Weverka was born October 19, 1925 in Royal Township, Lincoln County, Minnesota to Mike and Cecelia (Popowski) Chlub. Beatrice (Beechy) was baptized, received First Holy Communion and was confirmed at St. John Cantius Catholic Church in Wilno. She grew up on the family farm and after graduation worked for the Lincoln County Auditor.  On May 28, 1946 Beechy was united in marriage to Henrik Weverka at St. John Cantius Catholic Church. They were blessed with three sons. The couple farmed in Royal Township until moving into Ivanhoe in 1988. After raising her family, Beechy worked at a café in Ivanhoe for 3 years, then worked at Divine Providence Hospital as a Dietary Aide for 30 years.  She was a lifetime member of St. John Cantius Church, a CCW member, Rosary Society member and a CCD teacher.  Beechy enjoyed playing cards, gardening, canning, dancing, embroidering dish towels, casino outings and spending time with her family and friends. She moved into the Hendricks Nursing Home in January 2019, where she passed away on Tuesday July 7, 2020 at the age of 94 years, 8 months and 19 days.

She is survived by her sons: Mike (Lorraine) Weverka, Marshall, MN, Ron (Audrey) Weverka, Hendricks, MN and John (girlfriend, Anne) Weverka, Brookings, SD; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and sister-in-law, Bernice Chlub.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sisters, Alma Kirkpatrick and Alice Schalek and one brother, Roy Chlub.
