Today is Cyber Monday and shoppers are being cautioned about fake websites targeting online buyers. Bao Vang of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Minnesota explains:
“A lot of websites out there that are quickly made or can be put up relatively easily will mimic other sites and can steal photos, images, and products from other places.”
Vang advises consumers to stay vigilant, noting that scams tend to spike during this season. She encourages thorough research on both products and sellers before making any purchases.
