An Extreme Heat Watch is in effect from Friday morning through Sunday evening for much of southwest Minnesota, as well as parts of northwest Iowa, northeast Nebraska, and southeast South Dakota.  Forecasters warn of dangerously hot conditions, with heat index values potentially reaching up to 107 degrees. Rural Springfield Teen Injured After Earth Mover Rolls into Ditch in Lyon County

RUSSELL, Minn. -- A rural Springfield teenager sustained minor injuries after a rollover accident on Tuesday in Lyon County, according to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office. At approximately 11:04 Tuesday morning, a large earth moving vehicle was traveling on County Road 13. Near the 2200 block of County Road 13, an oncoming car approached, which forced the operator to pull onto the shoulder to allow more space to travel. New Ulm Motorcyclist in Critical Condition Following Two-Vehicle Collision on Hwy 14 in New Ulm

NEW ULM, Minn. – A New Ulm motorcyclist was critically injured following a two-vehicle collision on Monday in New Ulm, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. At approximately 1:32 Monday afternoon, a 2006 Honda CBR600 motorcycle was traveling westbound on Highway 14 and a 2008 Honda CR-V was traveling northeast on 17th Street North.
