Allan Louis Schreiber was born on October 11, 1938, in Westerheim Township to Joseph and Helene (Welvaert) Schreiber. He grew up on farms near Ghent, and he attended St. Eloi Catholic School, then St. Edward Catholic School, before graduating from Minneota High School in 1956. Allan farmed after high school before serving in the US Army from 1961 until 1963. He was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. One of Allan’s proudest memories from his time in the military was traveling to White Sands, New Mexico, with his unit to shoot rockets in front of President Kennedy. After being honorably discharged, Allan returned home and farmed on the family farm until his retirement. He lived on the farm until 2015, when he moved to the Madison Avenue Apartments in Minneota.

Allan died on Monday, December 27, 2021, at his residence in Minneota. He is survived by his siblings David (Mary) Schreiber of Taunton, Sister Angela Schreiber, CSJ of St. Paul, Barb (Jon) Guttormsson of Taunton, Brian (Greta) Schreiber of Red Wing, Marcia (Ken) Maertens of Puyallup, Washington, and Terry (Donna) Schreiber of Taunton; and several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, nephews Kevin Guttormsson and Damien Maertens, and great-niece Riley Schreiber.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Edward Catholic School.
