Adam Glenn Hegg was born on October 30, 1984, in Dawson, MN, to Galen and Sheila (Warwick) Hegg. He was baptized at Providence Valley Lutheran Church in rural Dawson and confirmed at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Canby, MN.  Adam graduated from Canby High School in 2003. He started his college years at SDSU in Brookings, SD before transferring to NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND to study land surveying and civil engineering technology. He graduated from NDSCS with an associates degree in 2006 and continued his study of land surveying for two more years at SCSU in St Cloud, MN.  After a short but enjoyable career with Moseng Land Surveying, Adam switched his focus to farming. He farmed along side his father Galen until his passing in 2017, at which time Adam quickly mastered the management of a large farming operation. With pride and passion, he continued the Hegg Farm legacy as the fourth generation farmer. When not in the field or working in his shop, Adam enjoyed building fish houses and helping friends with their projects.  Adam’s youth was primarily spent outdoors. He spent countless hours building forts in the trees, playing in the sandbox with this Tonka trucks, chasing the farm cats, and driving around the farm site with his friends on the golf cart, go-cart, or four wheeler. During his teenage and young adult years, he enjoyed lake life to the fullest with bonfires, wake boarding, knee boarding, tubing, pontooning, and hanging out with his friends in the old El Dorado camper.  Adam was devoted to many friends and maintained a busy social calendar filled with hunting, fishing (especially ice fishing), golf league, pool league, dart league, and snowmobiling. He also enjoyed many trips with friends over the years- snowmobiling in the mountains out west, beach resorts, river fishing trips, and deer hunting trips. When he was at home, his dogs Ace and Sebastian kept him company.  Adam leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family and friends who were always entertained by his quick wit, dry sense of humor, and unhurried pace for life.

He is survived by his mother Sheila of Canby, MN; sister Annie (Luke Christian) of Big Lake, MN; aunts Glenice Ford of Georgetown, TX, Caren Warwick of Gregory, SD, Eileen Brooks of Minneapolis, MN. He will also be mourned by his cousins and many close friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Galen Hegg, grandmothers Eunice Hegg and Marie Warwick, grandfathers Glenn Hegg and Shannon W. Warwick, and uncles Clinton Warwick, Shannon J. Warwick, and Gayle Warwick.
