Roger Russell Storm was born on July 5, 1943, in Sleepy Eye, to Gilbert and Verna (Jorgensen) Storm. Roger attended school in Milroy before entering the United States Air Force. He served as a fire fighter in Okinawa during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge. On July 5, 1973, Roger was united in marriage to Donna Verdeck in Watertown, SD. Roger had many jobs throughout his life, including working at the Milroy elevator, as a custodian at the Granite Falls school, and owning Storm Corner Store. Roger lived in Mexico for 25 years, and during that time he owned an RV park and a restaurant. He moved back to Minnesota in 2023. In his free time, Roger enjoyed cooking and fishing. He loved listening to the radio, particularly country music and the Minnesota Vikings. Even with his health struggles, Roger was fiercely independent. He was determined to do things for himself, even when it was not easy.

He is survived by his sons Jason (Lindsey) Storm of Loretto, Scott Storm of Marshall, and daughter Wendy Davis of New York; step-children Rick Adams of Clarkfield, Denise Heise of Marshall, and Dawn (Bruce) Gabbert of Colorado; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; sister Deb Meyer; and friend Norine Knudsen.
