MINNEOTA — Minneota’s annual Boxelder Bug Days kicks off Friday, Sept. 5, and runs through Sunday with a packed schedule of events. 

Friday features Minneota football against Eden Valley Watkins at K.P. Kompelien Field, fireworks, and a kick-off dance with Whiskey Rich. 

Saturday highlights include a tractor show, fun run, golf scramble, craft and vendor sale, chili and ribs cook-offs, kiddie parade, inflatables, barrel racing, bean bag tournament, queen coronation, and a street dance with Casey Muessigmann. 

On Sunday, the Firemen’s Pancake Breakfast, worship, pie sale, Ali Gray’s Country Jamboree, and the grand parade headline the festivities, with more family activities afterward in Bug Square.
