MARSHALL — The Marshall Adult Community Center (ACC) has a full slate of events and announcements for the month of August, including participation in National Night Out, summer golf outings, and parking changes during the upcoming Sounds of Summer festival.

Marshall residents are invited to National Night Out at Independence Park on Tuesday, August 5, from 4 to 7 p.m. The event features live music, food, games, a petting zoo, and more. Highlights include the Kayko Baton Twirlers at 5:30 p.m. and a fire department demonstration at 6:00 p.m. Food sales benefit the Marshall Area Crime Fund. Local law enforcement will be on hand to connect with the public.

Senior Golf at Savannah Oaks continues every Tuesday. Coffee is served at 9:00 a.m., with tee-off at 9:30 a.m. No registration required. Member cart fees are $12; non-members pay $30 for golf and cart. An additional $3 per player supports coffee, cookies, and prize funds.

During the city’s Sounds of Summer celebration, parking at the Adult Community Center will be limited. The lot will partially close on Wednesday, August 20, and fully close at noon on Thursday. Friday access will be restricted to Meals on Wheels volunteers and Foot Clinic participants. Alternate parking is available in the Wetherbee and Ralco lots. Participants are encouraged to allow extra time or reschedule if needed.
