Some people go to Subway expecting a gourmet meal, prepared by a Sandwich Artist . . . but then end up feeling disappointed, like Subway might be a little overhyped. (???)
A new poll asked, “Which country has the most overrated food culture? . . . Not saying the food is bad, just maybe a bit too hyped.”
30% of people said France. (Are there any non-fancy French restaurants?)
21% said America.
15% said the U.K. (Is British food really “hyped” . . . let alone overhyped?)
14% said Italy, and another 14% said Japan.
And 7% said Mexico. (Tacos alone make this the wrong answer.)
Those were the only options . . . so they didn’t ask about Thai food, Chinese, Korean, Indian, Spanish, German, or Ethiopian. (Although, you’ve gotta be eating at a pretty bad place to be underwhelmed by Indian food.)
